Based on proprietary in-house data, we are again running our Christmas Cracker promotion whereby prospective sellers can engage with us to prepare their property for exclusive marketing to a pre-registered database on Christmas Day, rather than wait until sometime in January when many more people will be placing their properties on the market.
The rationale for the promotion is simple: over the last few years, the team has monitored and reviewed the traffic to our website throughout the festive period and we have consistently witnessed a peak in visits on Christmas Day at around 3pm – the exact time when in years gone by people might be settling down to watch Her Majesty.
This has been attributed to the popularity of tablets, smart phones and laptops as Christmas presents and as Chris Chapman, Managing Director of Andrews Estate Agents explains, it presents a very real opportunity for its customers: “By preparing all property photos and detailed specifications ahead of the festive period, for exclusive marketing on Christmas Day, we can provide our customers with the reassurance to enjoy the Christmas break, avoid time-wasters and look forward to quality viewings as soon as possible after the holidays. Prospective buyers, meanwhile, are able to book viewings via our website when the branches are closed. “Whilst this may sound gimmicky, over the last few years, we’ve proved that it works - on average, each property marketed as part of this campaign receives 3 times more viewings than the average property over the following 2 weeks; last year, our overall instructions in the month of December were 80% higher than two years previously and booked viewings increased by 60%; and over the Christmas period, at least 20% of our website traffic can be directly linked to the Christmas Cracker campaign.”
Anyone wishing to find out more about the Christmas Cracker campaign should either visit their local branch or log-on to www.andrewsonline.co.uk and look forward to starting the New Year with a ‘sold’ sign outside their home.
