Overall, a stable election result is good news and as the market picks up, I expect to see plenty of opportunity for both buyer and sellers. After a slow first quarter, we’re already seeing an increase in the number of valuations as buyers, sellers and investors are gathering information and getting market ready.
Rightmove’s latest report for the South East shows that you can expect an average price of £281,757 for a terrace house. £222,011 for a flat and £525,967 for a detached properties. This is cheaper than London (£533,018). Overall sold prices in the South East over the last year were 8% up on the previous year and 14% up on the 2012 level of £292,652.*
