It’s that time of year again, where every night at 9pm we’re glued to our TV screens, getting disproportionately emotional about people we do not know, and will never meet, getting upset on national TV.
One thing we couldn’t help but notice, was the extremely high finish of the Love Island villa and it got us thinking, we wonder how much it would cost to live like an Islander? So, we thought we’d find out.
We asked Jon Plant, Area Manager for Andrews in Bristol and Gloucestershire, a practiced property professional with over 20 years-experience of the housing market, and self-confessed Love Island addict, to give us an idea of exactly what the nations favourite Spanish villa is worth.
"This architecturally fantastic converted farmhouse is located on the East Coast of the Spanish island of Mallorca, just outside Sant Llorenc des Cardassor, and nestled in the shadow of the Levante hills. With a flight time of under 3 hours from London, a wealth of traditional Spanish towns and charming cobbled streets, it’s no surprise that the area has proved extremely popular. This villa, converted in approximately 2012, offers 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and several dressing rooms, all spread out across roughly 4843 sq ft of pure splendour.
The real kicker however, is the garden. Wonderfully low-maintenance, you will never be short of entertaining space with a plethora of seating options scattered stylishly around this South facing suntrap. Featuring high quality decking, a fantastic Boffi designed outdoor kitchen for all your alfresco dining needs, a private hot tub, and a 14m x 4m infinity pool overlooking the sprawling Spanish countryside, it’s unlikely you’ll ever need, or want, to go inside.
The home also boasts a private gym, a fire pit, state of the art appliances and a charmingly named private annex called “The Hideaway” that includes an additional bedroom and bathroom. The property has been finished to an extremely high standard, and makes extensive use of neutral décor, with neon accents, that truly highlight the wealth of space on offer.
I would say this property could very reasonably expect to achieve a monthly rental yield of between £18,000 and £20,000, equating to around £650 per day. If you find yourself falling head over heels, the property could be yours for approximately £2.5 million. A match made in heaven.”
