Let’s move to… Bristol
So you’re thinking about moving to Bristol? Of course there is the iconic Clifton Suspension bridge and the Banksy graffiti but there’s so much more to Bristol than meets the eye.
Living in Bristol is more expensive, on average, compared to the national average, however as a city to rival London you can get more for your money as the average rents are 45% cheaper. On average a 2 property flat will set you back just over £1,000 to rent per month and purchasing a 3 bed property is likely to cost over £300,000.
For those already living in Bristol it came as no surprise when it was named the best place to live in 2017 in the Sunday Times Best Places to Live Guide and was described as “cool, classy and supremely creative”, something we’re not arguing with.
There are so many areas of Bristol that you’d be unlucky to find somewhere that doesn’t suit your requirements. From Clifton to Totterdown and Downend to Hanham there are a wide range of established and up and coming areas each with their own characteristics from a bustling nightlife to glorious green areas.
When it comes to your spare time, you won’t have much of it when it comes to living in Bristol with plenty of things to do. Exploring Clifton Village, Gloucester Road and the Harbourside are all top of the things to do when you’re visiting or moving to the area. There are a number of festivals each year from the Balloon Fiesta to the Harbourside festival as well as weekly food markets and things to do.
